Ophelia's POV

"Breakfast is ready." I screamed as i start putting plates for everyone. Soon I heard several feet running towards the dinning room. I saw Max enter the kitchen to help me with the plates.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Ophelia Quinn Diaz. I'm 25 years old. I own Star Orphanage. Max and I are childhood best friends. Our parents were literally like brother and sister. My dad was the CEO of the Quinn Company and now my brother inherited the company whereas my mom was the founder of the orphanage and I took over it when my parents died. My mom used to bring me to orphanage very often. Dad and my brother used to tease me every time saying that I was mini mom. I guess that was true mom was my idol and still is.

Anyways back to orphanage, Star Orphanage has been in my care for around 8 years now and I am very proud of it. We have grown so much that it has become one of the top best orphanage for children. There are several branches in other countries as well.

Right now, we are having breakfast with our family. After placing plates in front of all the kids me and Max sat down as well. At the moment there are 9 children in the orphanage. The orphanage itself is so big that could fit around 50 to 60 More people. This used to be a castle made by my grandpa for grandma. I had renovated this castle and made it more modern. There are 70 bedrooms with attached bathroom. Then there is cinema room, gym, gaming room, indoor pool, outdoor pool, living room, ball room, kitchen and dining room. It's like a dream house literally.

There are 9 children at the moment they are Romeo and Juliet. They are 16 years old. Then there are triplets Devon the eldest of three, then Jack second oldest and Lily the youngest who are 6 years old. Then there is Ruhi. She is 5 years. Then there are 2 boys age 4 and 3 years old. Thomas(Tom) and Jerry. Lastly there is Allie who is 2 years old, the youngest. They all have their own back stories and how they ended up here. But they all have put their life together here with a little assistance from Max and I.

I looked at Allie when she waved at me. She put here spoon down and signed 'this is delicious. Thank you' I smiled at her and replied welcome. Allie can't speak. She was dropped at our door around two years ago when she was only 9 months old with a letter telling that they couldn't take care of her and that she is a burden for them. She was sleeping in a basket with a pink blanket around her. I had quickly took her in and took her to the hospital for a check up. After check up doctor told us that she was mute and wouldn't be able to talk at all. Allie was the most adorable and sweet little girl. For her age, she is a very smart girl. Everyone here adores her very much. That's why everyone had learnt sign language for her. The teens thought it would be cool if they knew sign language.

Then there were our 2 little monsters. Thomas aka tom and Jerry. They both are closest to Allie because of the age I guess. But they are the troublemakers. They were brought to Stars Orphanage when they were 1.5 years and 2.5 years. They are not brothers. They were found in an abandon warehouse with a man maybe kidnapper standing over them with a knife. When the cops had come to talk to them they said that they were bestfriends and that their parents had never liked them. They would verbally abuse them. Then they said that the 'bad man' in the warehouse was the person who took them from their parents because their parents didn't want them. Their parents sold them. To a sex offender. The man was gonna rape them and kill them. Thank God that someone called the cops when they saw the guy taking the boys. Tom and Jerry were very timid when they first came here. Only talking to each other. But they had taken a liking towards the baby Allie. Now they are comfortable around us and are very little trouble makers.

Then there was Ruhi. We call her Ru. Her story is heartbreaking to hear. Max had opened the door when he heard the doorbell. Then he had screamed my name in horror after a few minutes. I ran towards him and what I saw still gives me chills. Thank God that the other kids were sleeping as it was a night time. There was a girl maybe around 19 or 20 at the door. Not in a very good shape either. The girl had was carrying something or some one. We had called the ambulance as soon as possible. The girl died before we can reach the hospital. The girl was beaten black and blue and so was the baby, Ruhi. Ruhi was so thin that I'm sure if I lifted her torn clothes her ribs could be seen. Then there was blood dripping down her arms and legs. Her face. She had a black eye and busted lip. We were so scared when the doctor said that Ruhi had slipped into coma. But now here we are. With Ru as healthy as ever. I'm so proud of her.

Then there are the triplets. 2 boys and a girl. They are 6 years old and had came in our life when they were new born. Their parents had died in the car crash and the social worker couldn't find any relatives for them so here they are. Devon is the oldest , Jack is the second oldest and Lily is the youngest of three. Devon and Jack are the troublemakers along with Tom and Jerry. These four are the pranksters of our orphanage and get in trouble together. Devon and Jack are very protective over Lily. Once at the school a boy had kissed Lily on the cheek when they had started first grade. Devon and Jack made the poor boy cry by pranking him with the fart bombs. Devon and Jack were in big trouble after that but their reason for doing it was that Lily was too young for boys. Also Lily and Ruhi are bestfriends.

There are only 2 teens in the orphanage. Romeo and Juliet. Yes they are boyfriend and girlfriend. Juliet was 9 when she had came to orphanage. At that time my mom was the owner of the orphanage. She knew my mom for only a year. Juliet is like a little sister to me and Romeo is like a little brother to me. Romeo was 8 when he came to orphanage. Romeo had ran away from his home and found his way to Star Orphanage. Romeo was already here when Juliet had came. From the day one when they met they have been inseparable. Romeo had even asked me how to ask a girl to become his girlfriend. It was so much fun watching them grow together. Like everyone they had their own ups and downs but they overcame that too.

Well that's all the kids. Now it's the time for all of them to go to school. They all thanked me for the breakfast and hugged me bye before going towards the door. Mr. Steve is our personal driver. He drives the kids to and from the school. Max and I cleaned up the kitchen and then got ready for the work.
