Ophelia's POV

We went to my office to discuss about the 25th anniversary of the Star Orphanage which is in a week. It is gonna be held here in the ball room. We have 10 branches all over the world and all the kids and staff are invited here for the celebration. We have already decided that its gonna be Disney, Marvel and DC theme. All the cost and expenses were not taken from any of the orphanage's fund but I, Kaden and Max have sponsored it. We three are very wealthy Whatever mom and dad had and it was a lot was divided among me and my brother Kaden. Max has a company of his own. Max is a CPA and he has its own practice known as Black Associates and is at the top.

We sat down in the office. "Max, we have an appointment with chef at 3 pm. And the invitation that we sent to print has came." I said showing him the invitations. He took the invites and looked at it. "So this must be for the special guest Mr. King" Max stated. I just nodded and said, "Yeah and I was thinking of giving him a call and asking him personally to attend the party. Do you think it's a good idea?" I asked. "I think that's a great idea. It would show how grateful we are for his support as well." "Alright then I guess I'll call his assistant today and book an appointment for call today itself. And as soon as he agrees we'll sent out the invites too." I said taking out my phone and calling his assistant. Meanwhile Max told me that the decorators are gonna start decorating tomorrow and that he has talked to the security and bouncer and the list has been sent to them already.

Mr. King's assistant picked up the call and introduced herself as Brittany. "Hello Brittany I'm Ophelia Diaz from the Star Orphanage. I would like to book an appointment for call with Mr. King." I said in my no nonsense business voice. "Oh just wait a second I'll check with him and get back to you in a second." Brittany said putting me on hold. After around a minute or 2 Brittany came back. "Mr. King would like to have this call right now if it's alright with you Miss Diaz? " Oh I didn't expect that but it's alright. "Yeah that'll be good." I looked at Max and he was looking at me. "Alright I'll direct the call to him." I mouthed Max that he wants to talk now.

"Alexander King." A deep husky voice said from the phone. It sent shivers all over my body. Man that voice sure is sexy. I quietly cleared my throat before speaking. "Mr. King I'm Ophelia Diaz from the Star Orphanage. We really appreciate your support towards our orphanage. We are celebrating 25th anniversary of the orphanage on August 1st 2021 and it would be an honor if you would attend the party." I said in the same business voice but a bit calm. There was a pause for a 10 seconds or something before he spoke again. "Sure. I appreciate you inviting me personally. Its my honor to be a part of such a good work." I smiled at his words. "I'll mail the invitation card and other details to your assistant." I said before hanging up.

I looked at Max and he was looking at me. I'm sure my cheeks are red cause I could feel the heat. "So...?" Max raised his eyebrow. I cleared my throat and said, "He accepted the invite" He still kept looking at me with a knowing look. When I kept ignoring him he said, "That's what got you red like a tomato?" Max smirked. I looked at him with narrow eyes. We kept staring for a few more seconds when I cracked, "His voice, his voice was so deep and husky and.... manly. Oh my God, it was that kind of voice that sends shiver through out your body." I said. "Ooooo finally someone that could make you blush. That too just with the voice." Max teased. "Shut up." was the only comeback. Max laughed when he realized I don't have anything to say.

"Done now Maxy." I said playfully angry. He nodded his head with a cheeky grin. "Good. Then send those invites and then get ready we have an appointment with the chef." I said as I fired up my laptop. After spending 2 hours on mailing the invites it was time for the appointment with the chef.

I got ready and waited in living room for Max. Also it was almost time for the kids to come home. I heard the car engine getting cut off. I counted to 3 in mind and as soon as I reached 3, the front door bust open and in came my little devils running towards me. "Momma Lia" Tom and Jerry screeched as they tackled me into a hug which was followed by Devon and Jack.

They always greet me like this and honestly it has became a habit. "Hi sweetheart." I said hugging them all. Once they released me they looked at me and what I was wearing. "Are you going some where Lia?" Juliet asked. She was sitting cuddled up with Romeo. "Yes. I and Max are going to an appointment with the chef for the party this week. Wanna come?" I asked as the little ones sat down on the couches and recliner seats. Juliet thought about it and answered, "Nah I have homework to do and I am helping Rom for his math test tomorrow." I heard Romeo groaned when he was reminded of the test.

"Oh shut it Rom. You don't have to act grumpy. You'll get to cuddle with me later." I chuckled at Juliet's words. I looked at the little ones and asked the same question. Triplets and Ru are gonna spend time playing games and watching movies while Tom and Jerry are going in for the nap. Allie on the other hand didn't looked tired and wanted to come.

Max was still getting ready so I took Allie to get change. I swear Max takes more time then any girl to get ready. After saying bye to kids and asking our head maid Ms. Mary to look after the kids we were on our way to the hotel.

The Chef that we were meeting was a very well known. His name was Chef Ezekiel McKinney. He has silver hair and was my father's bestfriend. After 20 minutes we reached the restaurant. After helping Allie out of the car seat we entered and were greeted by the skinny looking brunet. She looked bored but when she noticed us her eyes widened before flirtingly looking at Max. I internally smirked at her because her fantasy was never going to be fulfilled.

"How can I help you, sir?" The brunet said in what looked to be her seductive voice. Allie looked at her then at me and signed 'Is she sick Momma Lia?' I snickered and said, "No baby she isn't?" Max said to brunet that we are here to meet Chef McKinney. When Max gestured to me and Allie that's when she realized Max wasn't alone. Ms. Brunet glared at me and I just looked at her amused. "Lia. Max. You guys have arrived. I was waiting for you" Just as Max was gonna say we heard the familiar voice. I looked towards the voice and there was Uncle Zeke.

He came forward and hugged both me and Max. "And who is this cute little one?" Zeke said looking at Allie as she shy away in my neck. Max introduced them and Allie waved at Zeke. "Its been so long since I have seen you kids. How's Kaden doing?" Zeke said as we made our way to the table in the corner for privacy. Throughout the meeting we talked about memories and tasted several dishes. Allie also tasted and gave feedbacks. All in all the meeting was successful.
